Most couples have never seen a sand ceremony from the inside. Here is the whole thing: the words, who pours when, how long it takes. Use it as written or make it yours.

  2. First pourOne of you pours into the left funnel. Take your time; the color settles over the tree.
  3. Second pourThe other pours into the right. The two colors meet in the middle and start to fold together.
  4. TogetherPour the last of both at once, so the top layer is made by the two of you.
  5. OfficiantJust as these grains can never be separated again, so are your lives now joined.
  6. ThenCap the covers, and it goes home with you. Forty to sixty seconds, start to finish.

What if a name or the date comes out wrong?

It won't slip through. Within 24 hours of your order we email a design proof with your exact names, date, lettering and colors. You can change anything, as many times as you need. We don't cut, engrave or assemble until you approve. If we can't make it right at the proof stage, you get a full refund and nothing is made.

Does it hang on a wall?

It's made to stand: every set comes with a wooden display stand and sits on a table, mantel or shelf. It is not a wall-hanging piece.

How much sand comes with it, and can we use our own?

Sets with sand include two full bottles in your two colors: about 350 g for the 25 cm frame, 450 g for 30 cm, 650 g for 35 cm and 800 g for 40 cm. Choose “Frame only” to pour sand you already have; you still get the frame, stand, funnels and covers.

Is it fragile?

The frame is real wood with clear acrylic, sealed after you pour. Kept indoors, dry and out of direct sun, it's made for years of display. If it ever arrives damaged, email us photos within 7 days of delivery and we replace it.

Can it be an anniversary or vow-renewal piece, or a gift?

Yes. The ritual is the same on a first wedding day or a twentieth anniversary. Buying for a couple? Add their names and date; the proof comes to you, and it arrives ready for their day.

How do I choose the size?

Sizes are measured across the frame: 25 cm (9.8"), 30 cm (11.8"), 35 cm (13.8") and 40 cm (15.7"). The two smaller sizes sit easily on a sweetheart table; the two larger ones read from the back of the room and become the piece on the shelf.
